Urge Congress to Pass Hate Crimes Laws Protecting Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity
To: The President of the United States, The U.S. Senate and The U.S. House
Started by: Michael Jones
For more than ten years, advocates have been urging the federal government to expand hate crimes laws to include protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Ten years is long enough to wait.
This session of Congress should act to pass expanded hate crimes laws, and the Obama administration should follow through with their campaign commitment to sign hate crimes protections into law.
